Little Bits Card Challenge

Well hello there…..
Challenge #3 is up over at the CKCB
 to make a Card
from little bits and bobs
as I call them =)

So I need to tell y'all something…..
I am a cardaphobic.
I feel so completely rattled
when I make them.
I have tried to over come this
and being on the design team
has really helped,
because when I have just bits and pieces
I try to make some cards
to help finish up my kits.

But I ALWAYS have to have
a card to scrap lift.
Yes I am a mess.
A cardaphobic…..mess =)

So for this challenge
I did what any
card fearing scrapper does…..
go to Pinterest.
I checked out card after lovely card.
I mean seriously,
there are some talented card makers out there,
and I don't even think they hyperventilate
when they make them.
They are my card making heroes!

So this is the lovely I decided to lift.
I mean seriously,
this is an amazing card!!!

And here is my version.
I sifted through my stash
and found a package of plain post cards,
and got to crafting.

I'm so sorry for the picture quality.
Because of my cardaphobia,
I waited until THE very last minute
to make this card.
So no natural light coming in.
But lets roll with it,
shall we?

OOOO I love it!!!

Here is my version of the snowflake Christmas tree.
Sir Cuteness helped me make the Christmas tree.
He did the sequins and the star.
He loves helping me!!!

I really love this postcard so much,
and made it with the thought of making it
a lovely little hanging for Christmas.

Everytime I make a card
and do not need a paper bag to breathe
into, I consider it a win =)

This challenge was really fun…..
and challenging
and a win.  =)

Thank you SO much for stopping by.

Layout #2 + Campscrap

So for my second LO for my CKC June Kit,
I used this sketch from May's Camp Scrap class.
I LOVE this sketch.

And here is my take on it.
I love using 4x4's and this LO uses one,
stacked on 6x6, which I don't utilize enough.
I added those 6x6's in since I didn't have any
pulled for my kit.

Here is a little banner.
Isn't she lovely?

I love this tag and this lovely journal card.
And this Amy Tan Paper from her older Sketch Book line.
Swoon.

Yes you do I spy some Maggie Holmes in there (photo corners, "happy" sticker, and frame).
I'm pretty sure we could be BFF's =)
I love her style!!
And her products!

A little title and twine fun ~~

This was such a fun day!!!
(I'm in the bathroom of the Keeter Center here).  =)

This was a fun, Fun, FUN LO!!!!!

And just for good measure,
I'll show ya this card I made for Camp Scrap.
I am NOT much of a card maker.
I've made a few here and there,
but not on a regular basis.
So this card challenge,
our first "Make -N- Take" of class,
(yes it is online.  fun, I know :)
was just wonderful for me to try my hand at.
I love the final product.

So there you have it for LO #2 and my added bonus card =)

Kit Cards

So I wanted to share with you two cards that I have made so far with my "kit".

The first one is a card for a young lady that is battling cancer.
She is 26 and found out around Christmas that she has a rare form of Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
So this is a card that I'm going to send her and her Husband,
and I'll tuck a gift card to the movie theater inside.

The word "enjoy" are chipboard letters I distressed by sanding and inking the edges with my blue Distress
Ink Pad.
The stickers are a pack I have had for ever so long,
and am so glad to be able to use them.

Here is the inside of the card.
I liked how the ribbon looks on the inside as well.
I'm enjoying ribbon and baker's twine used like this.
It adds a pretty embellishment and also ties everything together
color wise, very nicely.

A little closer look at the detail.
I love details =)
(Why yes that is a little Mist in there to give it a shine.....
thanks for asking =)

Here is my second card.
This one I will send to my brother.
He lives about 3 1/2 hours from us and we hardly ever see him.
He's been on my heart a lot lately,
so thought I'd send him a little card to let him know I'm thinking about him.

This is a scrap of paper I had that works just famously for this.
I LOVE using up my scraps.
I have a lot of them =)

I also cut out a banner I had and looped a little baker's twine on the edge.
I love that look.
I distressed with I think Gathered Twig (love that color),
and added a little telephone sticker and button and brad on top of another scrap.

Here is a look at the inside of the card.
I tore a piece of the same paper as the corner on the front.
This ties it together so lovely.

Well, there are my first two cards so far.
I have a birthday card and also another card I'm making to have in my stash I'll share soon.

Thanks for stopping by.....

Much Crafty Love ~~
