CCK and LLL ** What a Scrappy Month!!

Well this has been quite the month for me,
scrapbook keeping anyway.
The kit I made at the beginning of the month
was very ambitious.
Very.
Extremely.
But I am so happy to say that I have scrapped
14
FOURTEEN!!
Pages from it
and plan on doing one more
before I put it away.
And maybe tonight.
Because I'm ready to put away my CHRISTmas SB stuff
and move ahead.
Oh but what a month it's been.

So I am linking up to CCK
and also LLL with the sweet Ashli

So this first is one I finished up today.
This was such a fun day with the beautiful
Miss A.

Who knew she loved packing peanuts so much.
SO fun!!!!!

And my sweet boy came to visit me CHRISTmas
evening.
It was good to see him.
Really good.

I'm trying new things.
Going through my stash.
And loving pulling out things like these clothes pins.
Oh.my.goodness.
Fun.

While I actually LOVE this picture,
the LO not as much.
It's okay.
I love the chevron.....
I love the tags.....
the embossing on the tags.....
maybe its the circles....
yeah, not so much,
but I'm keeping it like this.
It isn't terrible.
Just not my fav.

Confetti love.
Yep now that's a fav =)

I love these two so.
The.End.

This is a little backwards,
but here is detail on the next LO.
These are Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die cuts,
and I think this particular flower by itself
kinda of looks like a poinsetta.

My Mister Winslow bought me a sewing machine
for CHRISTmas and boy have I been using it!
So much fun.

And the page.

I love the picture treatments here.
I like to take add B & W and color
of the same or very similar pic on the same page.
I think it gives such interest
to the page.
Love that.

I love the tags here with the twine and the stiching.
Fun.

And this page is one of my fav's.
This is Sir Cuteness working on his mama's calendar
that we made her for CHRISTmas.
He was tracing letters for her.
LOVE.HIM.

Love these hearts.
Perfect touch for this LO.

So there you have it.
Kit done for January,
and it's not even the end of the month.
WOOT!

Now to finish out the month
I have one more LO to do for my Scripture
Memory Team
and then I'm moving on.

I may make a page kit
or a
card kit
to finish out the month.

I already have an idea of what I'll be working on
next month.

Productivity makes me happy.
Actually getting our CHRISTmas pics scrapped
before next CHRISTmas.
Now there's a great idea =)

CCK LO's ~~ Having Fun with this Kit

So this month's Kit just maybe my favorite so far.
Its a close race between it and my first participation to CCK
back in March of last year.

*****

So I wanted to show you something I'm working on.
It's in the beginning stages,
and generally I'm not good at showing my process,
because I don't think about taking pictures until I'm nearly done,
but this time,
I wanted to try and document my process,
so this is my LO right now,
but this started as a stark white piece of cardstock.
I decided to take the pointy flower from the Tim Holtz
Tattered Floral die,
and use it on a CHRISTmas page,
as a poinsetta of sorts.
So I sewed them down the side,
and then woke up this morning and decided it needed some along the bottom
of the page.

Then some masking was in order
with my fav mist right now,
Heidi Swapp's Gold Lame Color Shine.
Love.it.

I'll keep ya posted on this page.
If you follow me on Instagram
you will be seeing it sooner =)
I'm petriidawn.

So I took pictures of my most recent pages
BEFORE
they made the page protectors,
but I had my camera set weird,
and the pics didn't turn out well,
so I reset my camera
and just decided to take my pics with them in the page protector,
so please excuse the glare.

So this first LO is one that is for my Faithbook Journal
This year I am doing SSMT 2013,
which is a Scripture Memorization Team
with the LPM Blog,
and decided that I would make pages for each of my
Scriptures,
2 a month,
and this is my first one.

I also decided to get back to what I LOVE about scrapbooking
for me:
the details.
I LOVE that.
I LOVE flowers.
Big, Gorgeous, LOVELY,
flowers.

This is another page using my kit.

Here's the full page.
This boy is just the cutest,
and sweetest,
and MOST photographic babe.
I love him so!

And then the snowflake negative that you see here
has had LOTS of use.
This is the last piece left,
and so glad it could be used up.

Confetti fun.

I Glossy Accented the Joy and Bird Hat.

And then this page is my page on the first Challenge.
I loved trying my hand at this Challenge.

Wood veneer trees.

More trees and hexi fun =)

This LO tells the most fun story of CHRISTmas this year
between me and my man.
I love this LO.

Then I tried my hand at Tim Holtz's washi flower.
How fun!
And how cute is this flower?
Love it!

Ok, so I am getting right on through my kit this month.
My goal is to be done with my CHRISTmas LO's
by the end of January.
I might just meet this goal.
YAY!!!

CCK LO's ~~ So Enjoying This Month's Kit

So this kit is rockin' my scrapbook world
and can't wait to do the first challenge .

Ok so this first LO is one I had partially done
when I made my kit for the month,
and finished it up with the kit,
so I included it as my first LO.

Love this boy so....

Here is a little detail work.
I love my Studio Calico mist white opaque,
and these little Studio Calico wood veneer trees are wonderful.
Love them.

I love this little embossed snowflake and brads.
Love.

This LO makes me so happy.
I love these two so!!

Here is some brad work.
Love using brads.

Another little wood veneer tree and bling brad.

Here is a LO with a picture taken at CHRISTmas time with my extended
family and a special guest.
I love this Webster's Pages paper.
So pretty.

(I know that my pictures are not sizing right.
I'm working on this.)

I'm so enjoying this kit.

I'll be back with more soon....

CCK January - WOO-HOO!!!

I am SO excited!!!
I missed making a kit in December.
I find so much more gets done when I have a kit.

And this month I was SO excited to see what
kit we were counterfeiting.
It is Cassie Box's over at Paper Issues.
She is GREAT!!
If you have not ordered from her,
you really should.
I mean really.....
you should.
Such fast,
fabulous,
and
fun
items.
She is just GREAT!

Here is her kit....

So funny.....
I almost ordered a CHRISTmas kit from her.

So here is my kit.

This is some 6x6 and scraps that I will be adding in.....

My papers.
There is Some Merry & Bright,
Webster's Pages,
Simple Stories and various and sundry other
collections represented here, both new and old.
Yep this is a big kit,
but I have so many CHRISTmas pictures to work on
I wanted to make sure I had a big kit to work with.

Sticker sheets.....

Thickers, Alphas and word stickers.....

Cassie has some fun tags in her kit,
and I had some in my stash so I pulled those out,
(In the back of this picture).
And lots of Authentique banners, borders and tickets, etc.

Here is a little basket of goodies that is sitting
on the back of my table that is filled
with lots of CHRISTmas goodies =)

Lots of twine, wood veneer CHRISTmas trees
and washi tape.
Oh cute, cute washi!
I won 15 yards of washi from BPC a couple of months ago.
I was so surpised!!
And this washi is the cutest!!

I got to pick out what I'd like,
so I pulled out four of the CHRISTmas washi's
Sir Cuteness and I picked out.
Fun stuff right there!!!

And speaking of Sir Cuteness.....
Here he is sitting in my new scrap studio.
Oh goodness,
it is amazing!!!
We moved it from a small bedroom
and into a room off of our kitchen.
It is bigger and it is so roomy.
Love it!!
So happy about this room.

Well there you have it.
Now I'm ready to start scrapping!!!

I hope your New Year is Blessed.
