A Day at the Park with Our Babe

This month has been all about my LSNED album so far,
but I have managed to make a couple LO's in there to.
This one was so fun.
It was a recent Labor Day outing to the park with our
little dude.

This page was so very fun to do!
I pulled out a piece of Maggie Holmes from my CKCB September
Kit.  (Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this kit?)

I love the colors on this page.

And this boy and his PaPa are the best of people!
It was indeed, A GOOD DAY!

It sure does.

I loved doing this page so much,
and the negative of the alphabet here
is so very fun for a preschool aged Gbabe!

Thanks for stopping by y'all!!

LSNED Days 5 & 6

This project is a fav of the year for me so far.
I love doing 12x12 LO's, but this has been such
a nice change of pace.   And I am continuing to use my
CKCB kit.  It is also one of my fav's of the year!

So this page is all about time.
She moves so very fast ya know?~~
These four pics represent four
different ages of our Sir Cuteness,
with the one with the backpack
being his first day of preschool back in May.
The one in the bottom with PaPa is one of my fav's!
Our little guy has grown so fast!

I am working through Wilna's first class on mixed media.
In this class she does a chapter on fabric.
I don't work with fabric a lot in my SB LO's.
I'm never quite sure what to do with it.
Well for this page, I pulled out some canvas that I have
and starting sewing and stamping and adhering.
Love.
And then decided with all these square elements,
this page definitely needed some round goodness on there.
So I pulled out my Nestabilitie dies and went to work.
I love the round elements on this very square page =)
Oh and the pen work on the bottom left....love.

These pages face each other, and I am LOVING this color scheme.
This is Sir Cuteness and his mommy.  And this was a page all about
being thankful.  I'm so thankful for these two and for truth.
Truth sets us free ya know.
It's true.
The real kind of free too!!

A unique element on this page is the piece in the top left.
I am fascinated with Subway art.
So I did a little Pinterest search and found a lovely
handwritten Subway art piece and decided to try it.
In this pic it just looks like a hot mess of words and hearts,
but in person, it is just lovely and adds a whimsical element to
this already kinda whimsy page.  =)

So there you have it.  A couple more fun pages for
my LSNED Book.

I hope you have a Blessed and Beautiful,
Krafty, Kind of Day ~~

CHA Amy Tan ~~ Rocking It!! - Cut & Paste....My Take

So all the new CHA releases have me really excited!!
So happy to see them hitting the stores too.

So over at the CKCB we are counterfeiting from our fav line
at CHA Summer 2013.

There were SO many to choose from.
I LOVE Maggie Holmes new collection "Flea Market",
as well as Amy Tans new line, Cut & Paste.

I decided to go with Amy's line and I'm SO very glad I did.
Here it is:

Isn't she lovely?
I mean seriously.....
Look at those bows and stamps.
Be still my heart.....

So here are the papers I chose for my line.
Why yes you do see a couple of Amy's other lines in there as well.
Thanks for noticing =)

I also counterfeited a few papers as well, like the speech bubble.
Oh my goodness ~~ how cute are these little stamps.
It made a lovely speech bubble paper.....

I mean seriously.....
These little dudes are SWEET~

Ok I know I know,
this looks crazy, but hang with me here.....
I stamped a background paper with all hearts,
to duplicate the one she has in the kit,
but this was the stamp off, if you will,
from doing the full sheet.  And I LOVED it so much
I'm gonna make a LO with it, so just thought I'd show
you what it looks like right now.
Wonder what I can do with it?  =)
Oh and the actual background sheet?
Well it turned out so cute!!  Ummm....yeah, so cute
that I got it out and used it right away and forgot to take a pic of it.
Yeah, I'm cool like that.
SO.....I will be sharing the LO I did with it a little later this month.

Ok, so onto this hot mess.....
I often look at papers and embellies and think
"OOO I could do this with that!"
It's kinda the way my brain works.
Its the same with music.  I hear something and think, "OOOO
I could move that to a minor...."  Yeah, I know.....I digress.
Anyway.....
this was my take on the Bokeh.

And then here she is toned down a bit and dressed up
with a little Prima girl that Sir Cuteness helped me color.
Isn't she sweet?!!  Loving this stamp.

Good job Sir Cuteness (our Gbabe =)

Now, onto fabric photo corners.
These little beauts are so easy and fun to make.
I'm gonna get these on a LO and I'll share with the class when I do,
Oh and I'll put up a little tutorial as well.
Although, it will be very little as these take all of a minute to make.
Literally.
So fun and easy.

I thought these little hearts would make a GREAT edition to this kit.
Took some chipboard hearts, glue and glitter and
VOILA!!!
That blue is Tim Holtz new Distress Glitter.
And let me just say.....
IT IS AMAZING!!!

Oh man this post is getting long.
My apologies.
If you are still with me,
PALEESE take a look at these tags.
One of my most fav elements from this kit.
This one I did using a pencil and my own handwriting
and then stitching.
Love indeed.

Oh this one.....
I took some hearts and put light adhesive on them to hold in place,
and then punched around them like so.
I know my mat is a mess.
Anyway.....

How much are you loving this Prima tag?
I mean seriously.....
Okay, here she is all punched out.

All stitched up!!
How sweet!!!
I LOVE this technique so easy and fun.
This one will get a lot of mileage from me I do believe!

YOU MADE IT!!!!!
This was so much fun and I'm so thankful for such an amazing and
creative design team leader for coming up with such fun.
This Design Team Rocks!!!

I hope y'all have a Blessed and Beautiful,

So perfect for this page.

This little guy is so cool =)

and this page.

but way farther than I got last year.  I'm so enjoying it!

I am using my CKCB kit and,
So here is my page 3.

Some letters cut from my Big Shot.....

A little embossing.....
And some painting.....
And some sanding.....

Lots of misting.....

And Scripture.....
Scripture on every page.

Music & Love =)

My Sweetheart ~~ LSNED

Well, September is off and running,
and so is Learn Something New Every Day (LSNED).
The class that Shimelle Laine hosts every year.
You pay once, and get to do the class every year.
I LOVE this idea!!
This is my 2nd year and I am loving it.

So this year I am using my September CKCB Kit.
I was so happy to be able to put this together and use it for LSNED.

On day 2 we were to think about the people who have made
a huge difference in our lives; role models if you will.
In my journal, I write about my Grandma, my Mom and this AMAZING man,
my husband, My Mr. Winslow.

I didn't know how the pocket pages would work out for me,
since I'd never really used them before,
but man, oh man, I LOVE THEM!!
Such a fun change of pace for me.

I am taking a 12x12 and cutting it down to fit the pocket pages.
On this page, the 3x4 on the right is actually mostly the white part of the doily
paper, but it just looked a little out of place, because there was hardly any color
on it, so I decided that I would use my dictionary background stamp and stamp
it with prima black.   I love this so much!!!

Then I used my Heidi Swapp stamps and some perfect pearls on the left side.
So pretty.
And on the right hand side I used my Heidi stamps and my
Prima ink.  I'm really digging the contrast of these two pockets.

I used LOTS of Maggie Holmes goodies.
It will be a common theme through my LSNED album.
(Which will also include some 12x12 LO's from this month too.
I'm just gonna put them all in this album.
I'm just cool like that =)

Love me some Maggie Holmes.

Lots of journaling.
I will love looking back on this and reading all that the LORD is
showing me through LSNED this year.

And in the top left card, you will notice I added some more journalling
from the original picture.
I got this done and posted and didn't have any scripture on this page,
and since I want to try and include scripture on every page,
I added a verse about marriage from over in Mark,
to add to my special page, about my incredibly amazing man!!

So enjoyed doing this page.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Day 1 LSNED

Well hello there.....

September is definitely in full swing.
Our beautiful Sir Cuteness is all about PreSchool
and learning leaps and bounds.
It is amazing to see what they learn in such a short
amount of time.  And preschool makes it fun.
Win-Win.

Well I am off and running with LSNED (Learn Something New Everyday)
the class by Shimelle Laine.  I am LOVING it this year!  Last year I
got started late, and just never really got going, but this year.....
BOOM BABY!!!!!  LOVING IT!!

So here is page one of my LSNED album using items from
my CKCB kit for September.
I really didn't know how this pocket page thing would work for
me.  It's just not the way I scrap, but turns out it is fantastic for
a nice change of pace.  Don't worry, 12x12 is still my love,
but this breaks it up a little and gives me a lovely way to do
something a little different.

All of my pages are done using a full sheet for 12x12 cut down
to fit the divided pages.  I LOVE this.  LOVE.

On each page I am using a number from somewhere.
This is a Maggie Holmes, and then I'm using mists in various
colors as well.  Lots of gold lame.  LOVE IT!!
I used a craft knife and just cut around the doily
paper and stuck a nice little tag in there with
a thought for the month.

And then for my journaling for this page, I decided to do it in a circle
using the doily as a guide.  Even with a bowl and pencil to help me
it still didn't turn out perfect, but it will work.
It adds character right?
right.

There are many different elements in this album that will different,
this being one of them.  You can't really tell in the picture,
but picture of me in the photo frame and the "Capture the Moment"
sentiment are actually on top of the page protector, but the chipboard
circle the sentiment sits in is under the page protector.
Yep.  Lots of fun little details.  YAY!!

And each page will have a verse of Scripture tucked in somewhere.
This is the verse I'm memorizing right now.
What a GREAT way to start off this month of learning.

So there you have it.
Page #1 complete-o!
