Better Together ~~ Finishing up my June Kit

So this is the first month I can actually say
I have used up all my full sheets of patterned paper.
WOOT!!
Well technically, I have the last LO currently in progress
on my desk, but after it is complete, my PP for my CKC
June kit is all used.  SO HAPPY!!!
Trying even to use a lot of my scrap pieces on my last page.
I am really liking this and so is my stash =)

So for this one, I used this adorbs PP I got on a clearance table
at my LSS.  It is actually a valentines paper, but you'd never
know it unless this was a February LO.  Love these heart balloons.
And these two in the pic.

This is my baby sis, Dena and her daughter, my adorable niece Becca.
These two are so sweet and so very much a like.
Its uncanny I tell you.

Anyway.....

I cut 1/2' off of the top and side of my PP and backed it on a piece
that has made many a CKC kit, but hadn't made it onto a page.
Well this would be the month.  I LOVE it!!!  You can't really tell,
but the back ground is pink glittered stripes.  So pretty.

I sewed on the "Today" piece,
and layered and mixed and journaled
and layered and mixed some more.
Details people, its all in the details for me =)

A little fussy cutting.....

I got this thread at a garage for .10.
Score.
I love the color and it worked SO well on this LO.

Smile.
=)

I used a sketch from May's Camp Scrap that was suppose to be a really easy sketch.
I have a way of making easy hard I tell ya.
But it worked out beautifully =)

Thank you for stopping by!!

The Great Glittered Egg ~~ LLL

So this is a page that I'm linking to Ashli's LLL (Layout Love Linky).

This page I patterned off of a page I saw on Shimelle's blog.

This started with this beautiful boy, and a white blank sheet.

I added this wonderful arrow and sewed it on and then added some marker.  Love the results.

This was the first time I have sewed Thickers on.  How fun is this?

Added lots of bibs and bobs =)

Lots of stamping and twine and oh this boy.
This gorgeous boy!!!

Our eggs turned out so very pretty and glittery!!
And I love this boy and this page so much!!!

Thank you for stopping by.

And go by and check out Ashli's blog.
It is simply FAB!!

Look at our Garden Grow ~~ Blog Hop

Well hello there hoppers!!!

So happy you hopped on over here to see what's up
in the Farmer's Market Challenge Hop over at CKCB.

If you started at the beginning, then you are reaching me from

The challenge this month was to create a page with Farmer's Market as an inspiration.
Right up my alley.
I LOVE to garden and the Beautiful Miss A's family owns a Produce Farm,
and sits on the board of our local Farmer's Market.
It is a big deal and important part of their lives,
and not to mention, I am a frequent flier of our local Farmer's Market =)

So I started with this adorable paper.
I mean please, how cute are these clouds?!!

Back in February, just before spine surgery, I did a little Two Peas retail
therapy =) and found this adorable stamp set aptly named "Farmer's Market".
It is the sweetest little stamp set complete with a rooster and these adorable
carrots.  I mean really, how fab are these?!  =)

So as y'all probably know by now, I love the details.  And these page is
ALL about them!  These carrots are stamped in black archival ink and then
cut out and sewn on as part of my Heidi Swapp banner.
Yep I misted and stamped and sewed this banner to life.
Love it!!

I also broke out the old embossing powder and a VERY old
Simon Says Cloud Stamp.  I LOVE IT!!  I embossed these
sweet little babes to sit right alongside the other clouds on this
page.

Oh Maggie Holmes, how I love thee!!

This particular page I did using a sketch over at May Flaum's
Camp Scrap class.  And the journaling was done in strips,
so strips it is.  And yes, more delightful carrots =)

And the star of the show..... this boy.
This beautiful gbabe of ours,
LOVES to garden.
He will get out there and weed and dig,
and not even have to be asked to do so.
It's a beautiful thing!!!
He no longer digs up plants, but now he plants them.
Its a beautiful process.
He is a joy.

So I'm playing with camera angles and shots and traded my black background
for white.  I'm still really working it out, but pics are getting better.
YAY!!!

And just for good measure.....
these carrots.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and hop on other to the lovely
And she what she's got cooking up over there.

Girl of My Heart

I love this girl so much!!
She has literally changed my life and enlarged my heart.

This picture was taken the day we went to Branson
and enjoyed some time together at the Keeter Center
and the Landing.

I used my CKC Kit which I am LOVING btw
and have nearly used it up this month.
YAY!!!

I am taking May Flaum's Camp Scrap class right now over at BPC,
and this is a sketch that she gave us int he class.  I have already made
one sketch from it, but I used it again and this time switched the photo
to the other side.
Absolutely LOVING this sketch!!

Lately, I have found myself really using embellies in large numbers.
A real popper on the page, if you will =)
Here I used stick pins.  LOVE them.  And I have quite a collection,
and want to use them, so I had the CRAZY idea to put them all down
my layer papers that I had stitched in place, and this really helped to keep
them in place.  And of course, LOVED this Maggie Holmes frame!!!
Just a sneaky peeky at an American Crafts Dear Lizzy banner.
Added some bling and some Washi and twine and BOOM!!
Love it!!!

The journaling.
I put a frame (I have so many) down under one layer of the stack
and stitched it down, and then used this for part of the journaling.
Such a special page to me.
This girl.
Just this girl.

Then May challenged us to use what we had on our desk,
so I made this tag.  I love it SO much, and this tag is now
my bookmark for the summer Bible study I'm doing:
Gideon by Priscilla Shirer.

And a little closer look.

Thank you for stopping by.

Layout #2 + Campscrap

So for my second LO for my CKC June Kit,
I used this sketch from May's Camp Scrap class.
I LOVE this sketch.

And here is my take on it.
I love using 4x4's and this LO uses one,
stacked on 6x6, which I don't utilize enough.
I added those 6x6's in since I didn't have any
pulled for my kit.

Here is a little banner.
Isn't she lovely?

I love this tag and this lovely journal card.
And this Amy Tan Paper from her older Sketch Book line.
Swoon.

Yes you do I spy some Maggie Holmes in there (photo corners, "happy" sticker, and frame).
I'm pretty sure we could be BFF's =)
I love her style!!
And her products!

A little title and twine fun ~~

This was such a fun day!!!
(I'm in the bathroom of the Keeter Center here).  =)

This was a fun, Fun, FUN LO!!!!!

And just for good measure,
I'll show ya this card I made for Camp Scrap.
I am NOT much of a card maker.
I've made a few here and there,
but not on a regular basis.
So this card challenge,
our first "Make -N- Take" of class,
(yes it is online.  fun, I know :)
was just wonderful for me to try my hand at.
I love the final product.

So there you have it for LO #2 and my added bonus card =)

Camp Scrap and LO #1

So for June, I am taking May Flaum's Camp Scrap class
over at BPC.  There is still time to sign up.
May is a fabulous teacher.  I've taken several classes with her,
and have loved every single one.  And this class is no exception.

We were to finish our LO's with a stamp.  So I had just got
this cute little "Too Cute" stamp at Hobby Lobby on clearance,
and this LO of my beautiful Gbabe was just the LO to break it in on.

And the items I used were from my June CKC Kit.

I cut that cute Echo Park hexagon paper a part, and used several
of them as embellies.  Added a little flair and bling and those
lovely sequins, again a clearance find at Hobby Lobby.

After I took these pics,
I was looking at this LO,
and decided I needed a little more pen work
around the title, so this pic doesn't show
it, but the finished LO has more pen work
on it.

I love this boy and the stories and memories he creates for us.
He is THE BEST BOY!!!

He is just Too Cute!!!

June CKCB Kit....She's a Beaut!

So it is June and it is time for the new CKCB kit.
If you don't know about this fabulous blog, you need to check it out.
I mean seriously need to check it out!!

This month's kit is from Scraptastic.
And it is FANTASTIC!!
We had a choice.  The first kit is:
After the Storm.

And the second kit is Destination Unknown.
Aren't they yummy?!!  =)

I apologize in advance for the darker pics.
I took these at night, so my lighting was not great.
But still.....
Look at these beauts!!!
There is some Amy Tan, Echo Park, some more Echo Park
and that white card stock with the mists.
I really did kind of a combo of the two kits.
I just couldn't decide =)
Isn't those balloons lovely?  (Valentine's paper.  Shhhh..... don't tell anyone =)
And look at those clouds!!!  Oh my.....GORGEOUS!!

Pretty B sides.

Then yes I put those Doodlebug hot pink letter stickers back in my kit this month.
Yes they were in last months,
but I didn't use them how I intended,
SO.....I decided to try my idea this month.
We shall see.
There is also an OLD pink chipboard letter sheet,
that I think it is from K & Co, but I mean these babies
are OLD.  So they need to be used.

And then of course some teeny tiny alphas.
Love to mix my titles.
These lend to that nicely.

Oh embellies, you just make me happy =)
There is some lovely twine, studs, pearls, chipboard,
flair, words, frames, Washi AND..... I tossed in that
Echo Park scrap piece from another project,
and that lovely cut apart sheet that needs to be used.
Isn't it cutie cute?

I had a little helper with my pictures.
He is just the best, and such a good helper he is.  =)

So there you have it (finally).
My kit for June.
I have dug into it and am REALLY enjoying it.

Krafty Kind of Day ~~
