Kit Cards

So I wanted to share with you two cards that I have made so far with my "kit".

The first one is a card for a young lady that is battling cancer.
She is 26 and found out around Christmas that she has a rare form of Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
So this is a card that I'm going to send her and her Husband,
and I'll tuck a gift card to the movie theater inside.

The word "enjoy" are chipboard letters I distressed by sanding and inking the edges with my blue Distress
Ink Pad.
The stickers are a pack I have had for ever so long,
and am so glad to be able to use them.

Here is the inside of the card.
I liked how the ribbon looks on the inside as well.
I'm enjoying ribbon and baker's twine used like this.
It adds a pretty embellishment and also ties everything together
color wise, very nicely.

A little closer look at the detail.
I love details =)
(Why yes that is a little Mist in there to give it a shine.....
thanks for asking =)

Here is my second card.
This one I will send to my brother.
He lives about 3 1/2 hours from us and we hardly ever see him.
He's been on my heart a lot lately,
so thought I'd send him a little card to let him know I'm thinking about him.

This is a scrap of paper I had that works just famously for this.
I LOVE using up my scraps.
I have a lot of them =)

I also cut out a banner I had and looped a little baker's twine on the edge.
I love that look.
I distressed with I think Gathered Twig (love that color),
and added a little telephone sticker and button and brad on top of another scrap.

Here is a look at the inside of the card.
I tore a piece of the same paper as the corner on the front.
This ties it together so lovely.

Well, there are my first two cards so far.
I have a birthday card and also another card I'm making to have in my stash I'll share soon.

Thanks for stopping by.....

Much Crafty Love ~~
