CKC June Kit ~~ I'm Back =)

Well Happy June!!!
I have been away from CKC for several months,
but I am SO happy to be back this month.
The kits are Amazing this month!!

They are:

I went with Scrapbook Circle.
I loved the black accents and the bold colors.

Here are my papers.
Yes there is a plethora for goodness in here.
A lot of PL cards, since that is the bulk of my
scrapbooking these days.

I decided to add this bold little book of goodness.
I have had it for ever so long.....
too long,
and it needs a home on some pages,
or needs a new home,
if ya get my drift =)

I threw in some fun summer cut outs,
and of course, some Maggie (BFF) lovelies =)

Here are my stickers and such.
Yep there is some Glitz, MME, Amy Tan, Thickers
and other such fun.

And then this bad boy is FILLED
with all kinds of embellies.
Oh yes, this is gonna be one fun month of scrappy goodness!!

MME 6x6 pad.
Perfect for PL.

 So there you have it.
My June Kit.
Can't wait to start getting to work.
It's so good to be back!
=)

100 % FUN!!!

So I asked myself some
questions at the start of this year
about how I wanted to blog
and what challenges I wanted to
participate in on a regular basis, etc.

Of course, I want to do a monthly kit
with CKC blog.
But I also thought about some of the other
challenges out there
and which ones really spoke to me
and why.

Well, the one that kept coming to mind
and the one I decided to start trying to do
is the one over at Simon Says Stamp.
It is a weekly challenge that goes up every Monday.
The wonderful Ashli Oliver
is on the design team
and the equally as wonderful May Flaum
heads it up.

So I decided to really challenge myself and
try to keep up with the weekly challenges.

This week it is an anything goes challenge.

So.....
Yep, what a great time to use
an over size,
big as your head % sign
that goes wonderfully
because of the oversize,
big as your head picture.

This is an iPhone pic
blown up to an 8x8
from Persnickety.
Seriously didn't have high hopes
that it would turn out well,
but oh my goodness,
it is FANTASTIC!!!
Look at his gorgeous face.
Our Sir Cuteness as the most beautiful
eyelashes, and I know you can't see them
here, but they showed up SO well
in this print.
LOVE.

So the % sign is wood veneer,
ginourmous wood veneer!
So at first I thought maybe I'd try
Perfect Pearls to spruce it up.
#epicfailure
So I covered it and embossed it with white.
Better, but still could see the PP
SO I embossed it again with the white
and voila!
I love the outcome!!
At first you don't succeed and all that.
Ya know...

And then of course Maggie.
Have y'all seen her new
Styleboard line coming out soon?
Yes, It will be making an appearance
here on ye ole blog.
I am certain of it!!!

Hey, thanks for stopping by.
Leave me some love
and follow me if ya'd like.

Having Fun PL LO's

I am having so much fun playing
with my January CKC kit.

So I wanted to show you the cover page for me
PL album.
I am really excited to be doing PL this year,
but I am definitely a newbie,.
A.newbie.
So I am watching A LOT of YouTube videos
and trying different techniques.

This is my cover page so far.
I want to add a family photo
to it.
I have one in mind,
just need to get it printed and on the page.

Boy I tell ya,
I want to apologize again for the dark, glared pictures.
I am not in my scrap room right now,
but working on my kitchen table.
It is terrible weather here.
REALLY cold and snowy.
Like windchill of -25 kind of cold,
and my Mr. Winslow just told me
that there were a foot snow drifts in the middle of the road.
The road crews clean them off
and the wind drifts them back up.
Its a vicious cycle.

So we have closed up my scrap room for a few days
as it takes a lot to heat it and it lets in
a lot of cold air when it is first opened,
so we have just closed it up until this bad weather
passes, of Spring comes.
Which ever happens first.

So I just took a few things out of my room
to work on at the table so as you can see
the lighting is not so great right here
But we shall work with it yes?
Yes we shall.
I am just so thankful to have a scrap room that
I do not mind at all when we have to close it up
for a few days.
I can handle that if y'all can handle a few dark
pictures.
Its easier on our electric bill this way =)
Anyway, I do wish this page were better.
I may try to repost this one after I am back to
regular shooting,
because it is just so stinkin' cute.
Stinkin'
cute.
I tell you!

Now I am mixing some Christmas PL pages into
my album for this year,
mainly because I just couldn't wait to get started =)
Yeah, I'm awesome like that.

This particular page is a 12x12 that I put in my PL album.
It is a page of Sir Cutenesses letter to Santa that
he wrote at school.
How cute is this?
I mean seriously.
Yep, had to be included.

Oh this page and this boy.
The picture of his eye just cracks.me.up.
I love this spread.

So this is just a smidge of what I have been working
on that last several days.
Thank you for stopping by.

January CKCB Kit

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
It is the beginning of a new year
and
a new month,
so that means a new kit
needs to be counterfeited
from over at the CKCB.

This month the kit is Hip2bsquare December
kit:

And an embellishment kit from Oh Deer Me.
Seriously, how cute is this kit?

So this year
I will be formulating my kits
a little bit differently.
I love my 12x12's.
I need to count how many pages I did in 2013,
but I have 2 FULL 12x12 albums + a mini or two,
plus other projects.
Yes, I was a busy girl,
but it didn't really seem like it,
because I just stinkin' love it SO much!!

Well for Christmas my Mr. Winslow
bought me a Project Life Core Kit
and album.
SQUEEL!!!
 i love it SO much!!
I have been working on it,
and it is so easy and fun and comes
together so quickly.
I didn't really think I would like it,
but decided to give it a go,
and he was more than happy to get me
a kit for Christmas!
He is so great like that!!

So my kits this year will consist of papers
for 12x12's but also for PL.
I won't just be using a core kit,
of course,
because you know how I roll.
I would of course find scrapping out of a core
kit all the time boring.
No offense to the core kit.
I mean they are lovely and all,
but sometimes a girl just needs
a little bling and different color.
Am I right?

So without further ado (your welcome)  =)
I present
A New Year, A New You
Too cheesy?
Perhaps, but I'm all about cheese
especially Feta,
but that is another story for another day.
Onto the kit.....

Here are the papers for both PL
and my regular 12x12's.
I will get this all sorted out, but for now
because all is not sorted,
I will just show you this big kahuna
of a kit.

The other sides of those
gorgeous papers.....

And then here are my lovely PL cut a parts.
Oh Maggie and your cameras.
She's my SB BFF ya know.
Yeah, we're tight.
=)

Ok, so the obvious elephant in the room
are these pictures.
Yes I took them in a hurry last night.
NOT a good idea,
but I had some time to scrap and really
wanted to "break open" my kit,
but really needed to take these pics,
so I did it in a hurry.
So sorry.

Check out these stickers.
These will go so nicely in my PL this month.
Yes there is some Maggie running around in there.
=)
Have you seen the sneaks of her new collection?
Oh swoony swoon!!!

And the embellies.
Yeah tried to dress this pic up a bit.
Yeah, didn't work so good.

Ok, so ya know the embellie kit had those
HUGE wood veneer numbers in it?
Well I didn't have those,
but seriously, look at that doggie.
How cute is he?
And the hashtag,
yes I know it could also be a number symbol,
in fact, that's all it used to be,
but now it is the beloved hashtag.
Thank you Instagram.

So there you have it,
bad pictures and all.

I have been feverishly working on my PL,
and will hopefully take some decent pics soon,
showing a little of what has been going on in that corner
of my world.
I am really loving it!!

Thanks for stopping by

A Day in the Life of My Hair

I am currently taking a class over at Studio Calico.
It is called Lifted.
This is my first LO for this class, and these lovely
items are from my CKCB November Kit.

It is actually out of my comfort zone,
this here LO.
Like WAY out!!
When I completed it originally, it was just that grey
background paper that you see.
Well my layering was right in the middle.
It was off.
I tell you.
Off.
For me anyway.
I seldom center things.
I am cool like that =)

So I decided I would cut the grey down
and add it off kilter, I mean off center =)
on another sheet of PP.
Score!

I had just a touch of this Crate Paper paper
that I love,
and then I mounted this whole mess on my BFF's
paper line (yes Maggie.....dear Miss Maggie).
From her first line.

And yes this story is about my hair.
My crazy, wild, getting longer by the minute
hair.

Oh sweet doily,
sweet gold doily,
how I love thee!

And lots of layered bits.
I did add a few embellies here and there,
but not my usual embellishment heavy design,
but it's growing on me.
Much like my hair =)

Thank you for stopping by and seeing me =)
