June Kit ~~ PL LO 1 & 2

And our little man went and graduated Preschool!!
It was SO fun!!!
He had such a GREAT year.
Such a smart little fella.

This months kit is just perfect for
some Preschool Grad LO's

I mean seriously.....
WOW indeed =)

WOW-ZERS!!

Oh Sir Cuteness.....
I love EVERYTHING about you!

Receiving his diploma.
Oh the joy of this child!
I love those Glitz Finley letter stickers
in my kit.

This is the page opposite the above loveliness.
Lovely black and teal accents.....

This little girl and Sir Cuteness had quite
the friendship this year.
At first, they fought like cats and dogs,
and then by the end of the year
they were crushies =)

I am SO glad to be back to making LO's again.
I embossed this little lovely.
Swoon.
(MME Stamp)

So there we have it.
The first 2 PL LO's using my June Kit.
Back in the Saddle Again!
Hey I may have just named my kit =)

PL Week #2 -- Documenting

Welcome!
I hope y'all are doing splendidly.

I wanted to show you my PL Week 2 spread,
and also have a wee bit of a discussion
on something I've seen on a message board.

First off,
I only took 2 pics of my spread this week.
lame.
And as I'm looking at this one,
remembered that I am missing a photo.
double lame.
The reason for this
is because I put this page together
and forgot about my title bit
there in the corner.
So put that together
and then went to put it all in their sleeves
and had lost this picture.
Ummmm......ok
because it was right there with my other pics.
Hmmmmm.....ok.

Well I looked everywhere I could think of,
and it still has not shown up.
So I reprinted and now this sleeve is not blank,
but I still haven't found this pic.
Weird.

I think the studio fairies ate it.
moving on.....

I used bits and bobs from my January CKC kit
on this spread.
I love having my little blue box full of CKC goodness
that has come straight from my stash.
Yes folks, it rocks.
If you don't know what I'm talking about follow the link
right up there
and check it out.
It is fantastic!!

So on this page you see my title card
in the corner with "Wk2" in white sparkly Thickers.
I'm gonna milk these stickers for all they are worth,
and then hopefully find some equally cool ones
to continue my PL this year.
I like the continuity using a similar title
gives to the overall album,
makes it come together, if you will.

Sir Cuteness being my personal stylist,
and snow boarding.
Be.still.my.heart.

Then the two written pics you see there
are memory verses I've been working on.
They are my yearly Verse Isaiah 26:3
and my January 1 Verse, Psalm 32:7.
This will be a regular feature in my albums.
Then the bottom right is from my first ever
Persnickety Prints order,
which is also the missing picture.
Hmpfff.....

Then here is page two of WK2.
Now I want to address something I saw
on a message board,
where a lady asked if everyone documents
only the good of the week
or if people document the challenging
or not so good too.

For me,
I document both,
and the reason is
that life is not perfect.
I want to be transparent here.
I deal with a lot of health issues,
but my God is able.

Sometimes these health issues
disrupt our weeks.
We deal with them
and move on.
I try not to dwell in the land of pain.
It's not pretty there.
So we deal with it as it comes.
It is part of our weeks
a lot of times.

So on this spread we have both.
Some good
and
some not so good.
Just keeping it real.

In the top right,
I got to hang out with my girl
this week.
It made me SO HAPPY!!

And top right,
our winter has been winter this year.
In MO, we definitely get a mixed
bag,
but this year winter has NOT disappointed.
And because of that,
our dear Sir Cuteness has been home a lot.
For two weeks, he was home more than
he went to school.
When he was littler and it was just
him and I
(before the preschool days)
he would have sink play.
Yes I know this may sound kinda strange,
but he LOVED
(and still does apparently) =)
to play in the sink.
He gets the soap out,
and the scrub brush
and here the dish gloves
and goes to town.

He gets himself and everything around
him a wet mess,
but I don't mind.
It makes him so happy,
and I get a clean sink
out of the deal.
Win-Win =)

More of the Persnickety Prints goodness,
and then here is where the
not-so-good comes in.
On Sunday of this particular week,
my herniated disc started acting up.
I mean like shooting pain down my
arm and seriously hindering everything.
It was hard to sit, stand, lay.....
Nothing seemed to help.
So my sweet man
went out in blizzard conditions
to get me a sling.
Seriously so sweet.
So here I am,
bottom right,
hanging out
with no make up,
a tossled mess of hair,
and my sling.
It has been very painful.
But it is now starting to get better.
I'm so thankful.

So yes,
I document our week,
even the things that don't go
just right.
I really want my PL to reflect our
lives.
Our everyday,
loving Jesus
and
living life,
lives.
It is important to me.

Thank you for stopping by
and keeping up with a really wordy post =)

I am linking up with Sami

I hope you have a.....

PL.....It's Coming Right Along

Well Hello There....
I am so happy to tell you
that PL is coming right along
in these parts.
OH MY GOODNESS.....
I love it SO much!!
I REALLY didn't think I would
like it quite this much.
But it is just great.

Here.....
let me just show you
what's been going on.

I have been using some of my
January CKC kit to work on my pages.
This page is part of my Christmas pages.
Yes the picture of Sir Cuteness
that looks less than perfect
is one of the reasons
I wanted to do PL.
This picture has quite the story,
but it may be one that
I wouldn't have done a whole 12x12 page
on.
But it is just perfect for a PL page.

This page is my first official Week 1 page.
It is a learning process,
and I am really looking forward to seeing
how my pages will differ at the end of the
year compared to the beginning.
But having said that,
I do love it.
Such a great way to document
and I can still be artsy.
I love that.

I've been watching a lot of youtube videos
and I love the idea of making sure you have
the week # documented.
so I will be including that in my pages.
See that "Wk one"?
Love it.

Lots of Thickers were used
in the making of this page.

Love this picture of Sir Cuteness
and his daddy.
And look at that camera.
Love it.

A little FaceTime action with me boy.

I added some wood veneer.
Check out this oversized arrow.
LOVE.IT.
I used some Heidi Swapp rubons on it.
SO great!

Here is the 2nd side of the LO.

More rubons
and some Amy Tan paper.
And speaking of the lovely Amy Tan,
she is one that I've been watching on YouTube,
and I must say, I really like her PL style.

Sir Cuteness and I went to see Frozen.
If you haven't,
Oh you should.
You really should.
And if you have a 5 year old to take with you,
it only enhances the experience.

And then this picture.....
Oh goodness.....
cracks.me.up.
Yes, he was in time out.
Hahahaha.....

Some more Amy Tan paper goodness,
and yes I am mixing core kits
with my stash.

This is my 2014 goal page.
I will need to get the most of the journaling
done, but other than that this page is complete.

I am linking up to thescrapmaster.com
Hop on over there and look at her inspiring
Week One.

So there you have it.
My PL progress.
I can't wait to do Week 2.
I am going to be working on organization
between now and then.

I hope you have a Blessed and Beautiful,
Krafty, Kind of Day ~~

Having Fun PL LO's

I am having so much fun playing
with my January CKC kit.

So I wanted to show you the cover page for me
PL album.
I am really excited to be doing PL this year,
but I am definitely a newbie,.
A.newbie.
So I am watching A LOT of YouTube videos
and trying different techniques.

This is my cover page so far.
I want to add a family photo
to it.
I have one in mind,
just need to get it printed and on the page.

Boy I tell ya,
I want to apologize again for the dark, glared pictures.
I am not in my scrap room right now,
but working on my kitchen table.
It is terrible weather here.
REALLY cold and snowy.
Like windchill of -25 kind of cold,
and my Mr. Winslow just told me
that there were a foot snow drifts in the middle of the road.
The road crews clean them off
and the wind drifts them back up.
Its a vicious cycle.

So we have closed up my scrap room for a few days
as it takes a lot to heat it and it lets in
a lot of cold air when it is first opened,
so we have just closed it up until this bad weather
passes, of Spring comes.
Which ever happens first.

So I just took a few things out of my room
to work on at the table so as you can see
the lighting is not so great right here
But we shall work with it yes?
Yes we shall.
I am just so thankful to have a scrap room that
I do not mind at all when we have to close it up
for a few days.
I can handle that if y'all can handle a few dark
pictures.
Its easier on our electric bill this way =)
Anyway, I do wish this page were better.
I may try to repost this one after I am back to
regular shooting,
because it is just so stinkin' cute.
Stinkin'
cute.
I tell you!

Now I am mixing some Christmas PL pages into
my album for this year,
mainly because I just couldn't wait to get started =)
Yeah, I'm awesome like that.

This particular page is a 12x12 that I put in my PL album.
It is a page of Sir Cutenesses letter to Santa that
he wrote at school.
How cute is this?
I mean seriously.
Yep, had to be included.

Oh this page and this boy.
The picture of his eye just cracks.me.up.
I love this spread.

So this is just a smidge of what I have been working
on that last several days.
Thank you for stopping by.

January CKCB Kit

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
It is the beginning of a new year
and
a new month,
so that means a new kit
needs to be counterfeited
from over at the CKCB.

This month the kit is Hip2bsquare December
kit:

And an embellishment kit from Oh Deer Me.
Seriously, how cute is this kit?

So this year
I will be formulating my kits
a little bit differently.
I love my 12x12's.
I need to count how many pages I did in 2013,
but I have 2 FULL 12x12 albums + a mini or two,
plus other projects.
Yes, I was a busy girl,
but it didn't really seem like it,
because I just stinkin' love it SO much!!

Well for Christmas my Mr. Winslow
bought me a Project Life Core Kit
and album.
SQUEEL!!!
 i love it SO much!!
I have been working on it,
and it is so easy and fun and comes
together so quickly.
I didn't really think I would like it,
but decided to give it a go,
and he was more than happy to get me
a kit for Christmas!
He is so great like that!!

So my kits this year will consist of papers
for 12x12's but also for PL.
I won't just be using a core kit,
of course,
because you know how I roll.
I would of course find scrapping out of a core
kit all the time boring.
No offense to the core kit.
I mean they are lovely and all,
but sometimes a girl just needs
a little bling and different color.
Am I right?

So without further ado (your welcome)  =)
I present
A New Year, A New You
Too cheesy?
Perhaps, but I'm all about cheese
especially Feta,
but that is another story for another day.
Onto the kit.....

Here are the papers for both PL
and my regular 12x12's.
I will get this all sorted out, but for now
because all is not sorted,
I will just show you this big kahuna
of a kit.

The other sides of those
gorgeous papers.....

And then here are my lovely PL cut a parts.
Oh Maggie and your cameras.
She's my SB BFF ya know.
Yeah, we're tight.
=)

Ok, so the obvious elephant in the room
are these pictures.
Yes I took them in a hurry last night.
NOT a good idea,
but I had some time to scrap and really
wanted to "break open" my kit,
but really needed to take these pics,
so I did it in a hurry.
So sorry.

Check out these stickers.
These will go so nicely in my PL this month.
Yes there is some Maggie running around in there.
=)
Have you seen the sneaks of her new collection?
Oh swoony swoon!!!

And the embellies.
Yeah tried to dress this pic up a bit.
Yeah, didn't work so good.

Ok, so ya know the embellie kit had those
HUGE wood veneer numbers in it?
Well I didn't have those,
but seriously, look at that doggie.
How cute is he?
And the hashtag,
yes I know it could also be a number symbol,
in fact, that's all it used to be,
but now it is the beloved hashtag.
Thank you Instagram.

So there you have it,
bad pictures and all.

I have been feverishly working on my PL,
and will hopefully take some decent pics soon,
showing a little of what has been going on in that corner
of my world.
I am really loving it!!

Thanks for stopping by
and
have a Blessed and Beautiful,
Krafty, Kind of Day ~~
