Mother's Day Mini ~~ Layout Love Linky

So for Layout Love Linky this month
over at Ashli's blog,
I wanted to show some of the mini Sir Cuteness
and I made for his mama for Mother's Day.

Him and his mama had pictures taken last fall
by a friend of hers who is studying photography.
These pics are SO great!!!
And thought it might be nice to get them in a mini for her for
Mother's Day.

I used mainly Amy Tan and also Simple Stories Vintage Stories lines.
That little arrow in the corner Sir Cuteness wanted on there.
He punched it out with a punch that I got at a garage sale last
weekend.  (I seriously hit the scrapbook jackpot this weekend
at garage sales.  WOW!!!)

The way this mini came together was that I put the picture on one side
and then on the other a saying or rub-on and some artisicality.
Is that a word?
anyways..... =)

This was the song that his mama sang to him all the time when he was
a wee-babe.
I was so very happy when I saw this in the collection.

Sir Cuteness had so much say to what when in this book.
He balled up the thread and wanted to use it in the mini,
so I put a little bling in the middle and it looks like a beautiful
flower to me.  So pretty.

Some misting.....
Some fussing cutting.....
Some banners.....
Some popping.....
Yep, sure did.

This page I put on Instagram and it is one of my fav's.
This paper is an Authentique.
Love.

And I LOVE these bingo cards from Simple Stories.
All the bingo cards from Simple Stories.
LOVE THEM.

Here is the same picture from above,
just a little different finish on the picture.
Love it.

A little Heidi Swapp masking love!
And a Prima key and some Studio Calico kraft hearts.
Love.

This is one of my fav pictures.
The way she is looking at him.
Priceless.

This is a rub-on that I love.
Such a beautiful and simplistic page.
Some times simple is powerful.
Elegant.
Love.

Oh this boy.
LOVE these Maggie Holmes fabric frames.
And this boy.
Oh this gorgeous boy!!!

Then this little beaut, Sir Cuteness wanted to include this little picture.
This is his first fish.
He wanted his mama to have this picture.
This is a paper from the Lucky Charm Collection from American Crafts,
And then the "grass" is a Heidi Swapp banner,
but instead of misting it,
Sir Cuteness wanted to paint it.
I LOVE IT!!!
Instant grass!!

Here is a little note Sir Cuteness wanted me to write for him.
And then most of the other elements on this little journal tag
are rubons.
The "Love You" is a stamp.
So sweet.

And here is the grand finale!!
Sir Cuteness wanted lots of stars on this page.
And these stars are some more garage sale goodies from the weekend.
Yep it was a good garage sale weekend =)

And then I made a little card from the left over's.
I am not a card maker, but this was fun to do.
I helped Sir Cuteness write his name inside.
So sweet.

This mini was so fun, but especially having Sir Cuteness help.
It was indeed priceless.

I love being able to share art with him.
He is developing quite an eye for art and color.
He's four.
So great!

I hope y'all have a great day ~~

Layout Linky Love, Heidi Swapp Love and a Question.....Hmmm.....

Well now April has flown by like I don't know what!!!
WOW!!
I have been very busy in the Paper Crafting World
this month,
BUT.....
I haven't taken the time to get it on here
to much......
SO that is gonna lead me to a question
at the end of this post.
BUT.....
Until Then Let's Take a Look at this month's
Lovely, Shall We?

For this first LO,
I used my  CKC April Kit.
And I'm also joining in on Ashli's LLL,
Layout Love Linky.
YAY!!
My favorite cousin was in with her wee babes.
Well let's use that term very loosely
as her wee babes are now
18, 16, and 13.
WHAT?!!!
How does this happen so quickly?!!

Anyway,
here is said 13 year old.
Ummmm.....Yes I did say 13.
Yes I do realize she looks as if she could be in college.
She is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!
And that hair!!
Oh my goodness.....
It is thick and naturally curly.
She is a Beaut inside and out.

She's also a dancer.
A beautiful Ballet dancer.
And a Contemporary dancer,
and an all around gorgeous girl.

Yes, Just Lovely She Is!

And then there was this.....

My niece went to her first Prom last weekend.
And she is her Auntie's girl, I tell you.
Silvery Sprakley Chucks with her Prom Dress.
Yes Please!!!
That's my girl!!

I am putting together a Heidi Swapp Mini for Her.
I've been making LOTS of banners to use in this Little Mini.
Banners are fun embellies
and so easy to make yourself.
I love to sew them together for lots of texture
and layered fun.
Here you see the top layer is popped up.
Not with pop dots, but using a little twine.
Love.
A little pen work to make that lovely title to stand out.
Love.
Indeed.

I'm just working along
like a busy little bee.
And I texted my baby Sis and Asked Her What
the Theme was for My Niece's Prom
and she writes.....
"A Night in Paris"
What?!?!!
I had already added some "Paris" bits and pieces
to this Mini.
It just seemed to fit.
And then when she told me the Theme?
I was just thrilled.
So I sent her a pic
of some of the lovely's I'd already added.
She was thrilled too!!
YAY!!! For listening to that Still Small Voice,
and
Yes, He certainly cares about the little things too.
Love that.

And I have also been participating in Heidi Swapp's Mini Album class over on her blog.
It's right here.
and It's FREE.
F-R-E-E.
It is every Monday
Is SO.Much.Fun!!
This Mini Album is chock FULL
of Lovely Pages to embellish and play with.
Like this one.
Yep,
more handmade banners.
Love.

Week two was All About Quotes.....
This is a little stack of Quotes.
I love them.
Thank you Pinterest.
And lots of misting and masking on this one.

Ok,
so now a Question.
Do y'all keep a Blogging Calendar?
What is the method you use to post regularly?

I have the BEST intentions,
and then the day gets rolling
and pictures don't get taken
and
the post never gets written.
I want to be more purposeful.
I'm really wanting to post regularly,
even though its busy.

I got the distinct pleasure of being a Guest Designer
last month at CKC,
and I'd love to have more opportunities
like that.
I also saw that Gauche Alchemy
is looking for Design Team Members.
I'd love to be able to do something like this.
And I know posting regularly
is important.

So what says you?
How do you do it?
I've been thinking more about
posting tutorials now and then.
Like homemade embellies
to save a little money,
and still get cute,
lovely bits for our pages.
I just LOVE things like that.
Details.....
It's a HUGE part of my style!!

Love y'all!!!

It's Just Smashing..... Simply Smashing!!!

So quite some time ago,
my son asked me to do a scrap book for him
of the items he had on his door when he lived here.

He is now 20 and no longer lives at home,
and I have pondered and pondered exactly how I should do this for him,
well I decided a Smash Book would be just the thing.
And since there are lots of pages in Smash Books,
I have been able to add LOTS of pictures and extras to his book
along with things that were on his door.

I am determined to get this done by the end of the month.
It is quite doable.

And I used a lot of my goodies from my CKC for February,
and I am adding this to LLL (Layout Love Linky) over at the sweet
Ashli's blog over at the Purple Mailbox.
Please do check her out.
She is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!

He LOVES bottles,
so this is just a lovely page for him.

Yes, he made the paper several times
over his HS Cross Country seasons.

And oh I got this little starburst
on a page and I used that little kite stamp
along with washi and twine,
and this adorable Kindergarten pic of my wee-babe.

He is gonna be so surprised,
this is a thank you card his
5th grade teacher gave him
for some goodies he gave her on Valentine's day.

And this boy has a very special relationship with his grandma.
They got their hair cut on the same day,
so they had to document it.

And oh do they have fun together.
I mean seriously.....
these two are all kinds of FUN!!!

Yep, there is that fun kite again,
alongside another fun stamp "Enjoy the Journey"
indeed.

This is me a few years ago on Mother's Day.
He takes me to a fun new to us
restaurant.
Fun!!!

This is something he had on his door.....
I am loving adapting these treasures to his book.
It is simply Smashing!!!  =)

Me and my boy at his Graduation Party.
Precious Memories indeed!!

And this is a LO I wanted to add to this post
because I am linking up to LLL.
I just love this one and this boy.
He is definitely a trip....
in a really good way!
=)

Thank you for coming and visiting me today.

I hope you have a

I am focusing on Holiday LO's and goodies.

but there are LOTS of other goodies thrown in here to.

This is Sir Cuteness at Sears looking at the Snoopy display....
So sweet!!

Here is my Christmas Manifesto.
So many details here.

Here is a gift bag and topper,
inspired by May.

Again lots of little details here.
I love the CHRISTmas tree made with paper strips,
and LOVE the banners.

A fun tag ~~ again May inspired.

Here are some snowflakes Punched out of some paper that
was used as an scrap piece to try out some mists.
Loved it SO much I punched these lovely snowflakes out
and added some bling.
Love.

Advent Calender Love.

More snowflakes and Snoopy.

Wonderful Linky August Love

My goodness,
it has been almost a month since I have posted.
August is such a busy month for us.
Many birthdays and lots of family fun!

Well I participated in a BPC Class,
28 Days of Sketches,
but I didn't get the chance to post many of them
and still working on 'em,
but Linky Love is a perfect opportunity to share some of the LO's.

This was Mother's Day 2010.
Dak took me to Old Chicago.
And WOW did we eat Cake.....
CHEESECAKE AS BIG AS MY HEAD!!!

And of course, I LOVE the details!
Here is a tag that I made during May's Camp Scrap.
This was such an interesting foil technique.
I made this tag, but didn't post it,
because I wasn't to sure how I liked it,
but WOW on this LO, I LOVE IT!!

I LOVE to mix and match my letters for titles.
It gives my page interest and well.....
detail =)

This paper is so very old on this one, and it felt really good to get it out and use it.
I'm trying to work through some of my older papers,
mixing them with newer ones.

Oh sweet doodle twine,
how I love thee!
I love your versatility and how you stretch my
creativity.

I so indeed love when I have a ribbon epiphany.
It makes me happy.....
giddy really.
=)

This LO looks so simple,
but was one took some time.
I cut out the chevron and pop dotted every other row
for texture.
Love it!

Ahhh sweet stickles,
you get me every time =)

This page was such a joy to work on.
I'm really starting to see a style developing.
YAY!!!

The details on this page
make my heart go pitter-patter.
I found this unused stamp in my stash and put it to use.
YAY!!!
I stamped and then colored with Distress Markers
and added some bling for tires.

And then the letters for the title are the same style just different colors,
but Oh the detail.
I did pen work around the letters but not all the way around.....
So fun!!!
Love the whimsy this brings to my page.

About a month ago, I won a set of journaling stamps.
What a Blessing!!!
This is one of my favs!!
I used to be so bad at journaling,
but now I absolutely LOVE telling the stories of my pages.
This g-babe brings us such joy,
that telling the story is the highlight of the page along with the pics.
Yep, I'm loving this!!!!!

These last 2 are not LO's but tags.
This one I did in about 15 mins or so.
I didn't have long and so wanted to do a little crafty fun,
but didn't have a LO started,
so decided to do a tag.
So pretty!!

And then this is one I made for a LO page,
but it didn't work out,
so I was left with a tag with no page to go on,
but I want to remember this technique,
so it will probably go in my art journal.
I heat embossed lines for journaling,
and LOVE the result!!!
Want to remember this gem.

So I know these were a lot of pics,
but when I am a slacker for almost a month,
that is what happens at linky time =)

Thank you Ashli for hosting this.
You are the hostess with the mostess!!!

Have a Blessed and Beautiful Crafty Kind of Day ~~
